"In the latest episode of The Grant Williams podcast, I’m joined by Global Forecaster, David Murrin who offers us some valuable insight into his background before we dive into a riveting discussion about lateral versus linear thinking, the cycles of empires, and the geopolitical tensions between the West and China.
David argues that the West is in decline while China is an ascendant power seeking global dominance and predicts an escalating series of conflicts, potentially leading to a third world war in the coming decade as China seeks to displace the US as the global hegemon.
David’s detailed analysis of China’s strategic approach and the West’s vulnerabilities make a compelling case that the world is heading towards a major confrontation with grave consequences.
Some of the issues discussed may prove challenging for listeners, but engaging with these difficult topics and considering their implications for the future are, without doubt, an important use of your time.
Every episode of the Grant Williams podcast, including This Week In Doom, The End Game, The Super Terrific Happy Hour, The Narrative Game, Kaos Theory and Shifts Happen, is available to Copper, Silver and Gold Tier subscribers at my website www.Grant-Williams.com.
Copper Tier subscribers get access to all podcasts, while members of the Silver Tier get both the podcasts and my monthly newsletter, Things That Make You Go Hmmm… Gold Tier subscribers have access to my new series of in-depth video conversations, About Time."

I thoroughly enjoyed your conversation on Grant Williams’ podcast which I consumed on a long drive from N. Georgia to Birmingham Alabama this morning. One of your best.
I wanted to express my admiration for the intellectual framework and theory of entropic social systems you have created and shared with the world. I know the right people are listening to you and that the wrong people running the show are currently not, but when the moment of truth comes and the latter are found wanting and unable to respond, the right people will have been well-briefed through your insights and will be able to formulate lateral responses to the civilizational challenges we face.

Neil Howe's The Fourth Turning is here. What a phenomenal read. In the epilogue he talks about our "collective confusion" as a result of being in the Fourth Turning, after he has set out his thoughts about how each generation of us might emerge from this crisis period.
Turbo boost this read by also ordering Breaking the Code of History by David Murrin available directly from his website. David has spent a lifetime working on his frameworks around the ascent to and descent from empire to decline, it's breathtaking stuff. He recently laid out his latest geopolitical thinking on the Grant Williams podcast released a couple of days ago, which I can't recommend highly enough even though it is a potentially challenging listen.

David. Just wanted to say your latest podcast with Grant Williams is one of the best things I've ever heard. It needs sharing the hell out of. Well done.

As much as I hate to say it, I find it very hard to disagree with anything that David said.
Thank you for this. I can see how people might choose to be offended but I am glad you are having these conversations. Hearing more viewpoints than just the spin of the mainstream has given me more to ponder rather than letting my views stagnate.
Just listened David Murrin podcast. I have listened to him also via other podcasts over last few years but now I could not help myself thinking that maybe he is right on most points OR he is sponsored by the CIA/Mossad etc as his opinions are aligned with their agenda. With this bizarre geopolitical situation, it is increasingly difficult to know what is really going on.
I'm not much for commenting on podcast episodes, but felt I had too regarding your latest episode with David Murrin. I loved the chat you and David had, it was confronting and at times pretty grim, but so engrossing. The previous episode with Sir Steven W was also a fantastic listen and a great primer for the episode with David. Well done on the fantastic episodes and for all the great material you produce.
Grant, I stayed with you to the end even though some of it was dense. But David Murrin’s thesis is fascinatingly scary and we can’t discount it.
Well, you succeeded in triggering me with your podcast with David Murrin.
He said that Kamala may not be too smart but she will surround herself with smart people to advise her. Are you kidding me? These are the same smart people that caused the problems we have now. The people who caused the problem cannot fix them. That is absurd.
Kamala is a socialist. She has demonstrably shown a contempt for the Constitution. Everything from packing (politicizing) the Supreme Court to bypassing congress (free medical care for illegal aliens, non citizen voting) to ignoring the 2nd amendment (mandatory gun buybacks) to cancelling the 1st amendment (censor disinformation, misinformation).
Donald Trump may be a narcissist but he is not in this just for himself. He is the only President in recent history that left office poorer than when he entered (granted 'poorer' is a relative term). He is attacked relentlessly by the media, Democrats, and Republicans (the Uniparty). Nobody, not even the greatest narcissist, needs that hassle.
IMHO the greatest threat to the West in general and the United States empire is the national debt; and nobody wants to make a realistic assault on that situation. You touched on it in this podcast; but that is where our downfall will come.At least Donald Trump wants me to keep more of my money while it is still worth something.
Thank you for having Mr. Murrin on. I am one of those who cringed at some of what was discussed but like the person he mentioned in the last several minutes of the session, after a while i came back and thought "holy %^! he is on target!" I will be jumping into his book as quickly as the Amazon guy can get it to me.
I am a long-ish time subscriber to Grant's works, and this is my first time giving feedback (I think!). I thought that the recent podcasts with Sir Steven Wilkinson and David Murrin were just fantastic.
Each in their own way made me think about concepts that had never crossed my mind, and I was riveted from start to finish! Both of those episodes definitely warrant further listens, as they have challenged my way of thinking about certain topics, which is always a wonderful thing.
I just wanted to drop you a line to say that your last two podcasts were fantastic - really eye-opening, thought provoking and serious catalysts for a positive re-wiring of my brain!
Riveting and brilliant but sorry we both share the same view that WWW3 will soon be upon us
I literally just finished listening to this. I subscribe to all of your podcasts and have never been disappointed. Most of them are great, every once in awhile amazing. I hope you take that last sentence to be the massive compliment it is intended to be.This one with David is not only the best one yet, it is by far the most important one (and again I have yet to listen to one of your podcasts and I mean all of them, that I thought this was not that important).
Strewth…Speechless of Brentford! He makes you think doesn't he? And I find myself agreeing with every thing he says. Almost everything!! As your machinations with Fleck in the End Game have highlighted, timing is everything and we could remain in this state for some time as the battle to maintain the status quo rages. Thanks again for getting people like David on the show.
